Besson Street Community Garden + Trees for Living

Join us at Besson Street Community for a lazy Sunday afternoon where tea and cakes will flow in abundance and the Sunday papers and board games will be waiting for you. Bring a picnic and chill in this beautiful oasis in the heart of New Cross Gate to some live folk music. We will have workshops for the kids, New Cross Fire Brigade, street trees for living and more…

The gates will be open from 12.30 pm til 4 pm.

STREET TREES FOR LIVING

This people-powered movement transforming our streets and communities through tree planting, will be at Besson Street Community Gardens (see above). Come and play a round of tree bingo, add the trees on your road to our community map, and hear about The Tree Line, our Green Roots project bringing 400 new trees and green skills training to the borough.

The team will be on-hand to chat about how you can become a Tree Guardian, and join our mission to improve tree equity across Lewisham. Refreshments provided!
